Easy Parenting For All Ages – A Guide For Raising Happy Strong Kids is a book about an effective parenting philosophy for raising happy, strong, likeable, respectful, fun, motivated, disciplined and deeply successful children. It is based on my 30-year experience as a mother of five.
I became a mother at 17. I was totally unprepared and came to motherhood with a lot of ambitions, ideals and expectations. I made mistakes and learned from those mistakes. I learned that we cannot glue wings on butterflies and that once grown, those butterflies will fly their own paths that we have no control over. The best we can do as parents thus is to provide a happy and nurturing environment for our caterpillars to metamorphose and grow strong wings to weather future storms.
Despite the hardships of raising a young family whilst at University and later, working full time, the years of raising children became the most important period of my life.
The big lesson for me is not to seek perfection. Rather, it is about building a happy and stable home filled with purpose, light and love to raise our children up in. Easy Parenting For All Ages – A Guide For Raising Happy Strong Kids is about Georgina as she metamorphosed from our little blonde baby into a confident young adult of 16. She contributes her insights in this book on exam stress, peer pressure, relationships and other teen issues, and her unique ways of dealing with them. Her skills in lifestyle management were borne out of an upbringing that allowed to grow to be her best self.
Her father and I consolidated our 30-year experience into key takeaways for parents who wish to follow our path. In this book, you will also find lists, tips and simple recipes.
Along with Easy Parenting For All Ages – A Guide For Raising Happy Strong Kids, you will also receive another book for free.
Barefoot In The City – Raising Successful, Free-Range Organic Kids is a collection of short stories of our everyday life that made my children who they are today. At the end of each main section, there is a Roadmap to guide you in adopting some of our more successful practices. There are also little exercises in introspection dotted throughout the book to help you formulate your own philosophy and best practice guidelines.
I am passionate about parenting. I blog extensively on the subject and write for Huffington Post. However, I believe that parenting is a personal journey. I hope these two books will be your companions as you walk this often difficult but rewarding path.
